Belt Vulcanizing - (Cold Vulcanizing & Hot Vulcanizing)
Maintenance of conveyor Belts
Pulley Legging
HOT Rubber Legging
Rubber Lining & Rubber Moulding
Repair and Joint of all type of conveyor Belt(Suger Mills,Paper Mills,Chemicals,Fertilizers,Stonw Crushers,Glass Plants & Etc.) Process by Auto Electric Hot Press Machine & Cold Joints also.
Cold Vulcanizing Solutions offered comprise Cold vulcanizing also known as Non Flammable Cold Vulcanizing solutions. Here, the CONTIBELT 9000 offered is a black color, viscous liquid that has brushing viscosity. As a two component, room temperature curing synthetic rubber based adhesive, when catalyzed using appropriate amount of hardener, it yields high strength adhesion when bonding -
Rubber to rubber
Rubber to fabric
Rubber to steel
Rubber to PVC
Urethane
Fiberglass
Concrete
With CONTIBELT 9000 formulated after extensive R & D efforts, we are able to successfully address diverse process needs of different industry sectors. Further, these cold vulcanizing solutions are also highly popular for applications involving -
Conveyor belt jointing
Pulley lagging
Belt repair
Add required amount of hardener with adhesive
Mix solution properly until uniform coloration occurs
Use recommended dosage of 5 grams of hardener with 100 grams of adhesive
The prepared mixture need to be consumed within 2-3 hrs so as to avoid -
Effect of solvent evaporation
Thickening of mix because of cross linking that leads to inferior spreading property
Keep pot covered when not in use as product is highly sensitive to moisture
The mixing ratio involves -
100 gms of adhesive per 5 gms of hardener
Providing higher coverage in a cost effective way
Providing superior bonding strength, thus ensuring of a quality output
Allowing more open time that meets production cycle needs
Provides for uniform performance
As it does not contain benzene, it saves human life from cancer possibility
Metallic surfaces need to be free of oils, grease as well as other contaminants
Here, it should also be ensured that rust and mill scale are removed through sand blasting process to NACE #2 (for this profile of 2-3 mils is preferred)
The cured rubber should have all mould release agent removed as well as buffed with stiff bristled wire brush of 24 grit
This should be done at speed that does not burn the rubber surface
Apply first coat to each surface in a scrubbing like motion
Allow coat to dry for around 1 hour at 25oC
After required drying time, second coat is applied to each surface
Let this dry until tacky and then compress both surfaces through stitch down/applying pressure
Maximum bond strength would develop in around 21 days (however sufficient initial bond strength will be achieved after 24 hours that makes it ready for most services)
Rubber, if cured in sheet form need to be solvent cleaned as well as buffed as described before application of the first coat of adhesive
Allow first coat to dry for at least 1 hour or longer
After required drying time, second coat is applied
When still tacky, stitch two components together/or apply pressure
For adherence to other elastomeric materials/special environmental conditions, please undergo trial so as to determine -
Suitability of product with individual materials
Determine the preferred method of application
A vulcanizer is a tool that exerts heat and pressure to a splice to cure the raw rubber used in a hot splice. The pressure is from air, oil, steam, or mechanically induced. A vulcanizer is heated by steam or electricity.
Vulcanizers range in size from 3" wide to 10 feet wide. Weight can range from several pounds to several tons. Usually a vulcanizer is designed to do a specific job. This is why heat, size, pressure, and designs vary among manufacturers.
